The “satin” sold everywhere is almost always shiny woven polyester. It’s smooth, but it isn’t silk.

By hand or machine at 30 °C, delicate cycle, pH-neutral detergent. No fabric softener, no bleach.
Protect the fabric
Put the silk in a laundry bag: it’s the zips on other clothes that damage it.
Dry flat
No tumble dryer. Lay flat on a towel, out of direct sunlight: silk dries quickly.
Sleep on it for 30 nights.

Before you order
How can I tell real silk?
Read the label: it should say “100% mulberry silk”. “Satin” is a weave, not a material: most satin pillowcases are polyester. To the touch, silk feels cool at first and quickly warms against your skin; it breathes, whereas polyester traps heat.
What size is the pillowcase?
65 × 65 cm, the standard square pillow size in France. Measure your pillow before ordering: the pillowcase needs to match its size to close without pulling.
How do I wash silk?
By hand or machine at 30 °C, in a laundry bag, on a delicate cycle, with a pH-neutral detergent and no fabric softener. Dry flat, out of direct sunlight.
What if I don’t like it?
You have 30 days after delivery to write to us and get a refund, no questions asked. Return shipping is at your expense unless the product is faulty.
